Compatible with all 6-string electric and acoustic (steel string) guitars, and all 4-string electric basses, across all scale lengths. Not currently engineered for 7-string, 12-string, or nylon string instruments.
Feeler gauges are a great tool — the DL Action Finder adds to your workflow, not against it. Where gauges give you fixed increments with manual swaps, the Action Finder reads continuously in playing position with 0.0005″ resolution on a live digital display. The Setup Engines then add a layer of repeatability that lets you define, save, and recall any setup.

If you are only measuring, no additional tools are required. If you are making adjustments, you may need the following depending on what you're adjusting:
- Allen key and/or screwdriver — for truss rod and bridge adjustments. See your guitar's manufacturer guide for the correct tools.
- Nut slotting files — for nut slot height adjustments.
- Sandpaper or a file — if you are adjusting an acoustic guitar, re-shaping your saddle will require sanding or filing.
